Kimberly Kenny Headshot
Kimberly Kenny is the Associate Vice President for External Relations and Institutional Advancement at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles. In this role, she oversees fundraising, communications and public programs for the University. Her experience spans across higher education, government agencies, nonprofits and social initiatives, where she has developed communication strategies, dynamic programs, and multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns. Prior to joining Mount Saint Mary’s, Kimberly was the Chief Communications and Development Officer at the Women’s Foundation of California. She received her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and her master’s degree from Mount Saint Mary’s. She speaks regularly on topics ranging from gender equity to developing young philanthropists.

Jessica Salinas Headshot
Jessica Salinas is passionate about social justice and has committed herself to social change through her work. She currently serves as the national Executive Director of EmprendeLatino, an accelerator for Latinx-founded technology startups. Previously, she was the Social Impact Lead at Headspace, Inc., where she developed their social impact strategy to integrate meditation in K-12 institutions, nonprofits and organizations serving marginalized communities in a measurable, financially sustainable, scalable manner.

Jessica has also worked with the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative on its national research endeavors, as well as directing its education program-- the Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program-- which gave Latino business owners education, mentorship and access to capital resources to grow their ventures. Jessica has taken the design thinking principles she learned at Stanford and has delivered workshops to students, entrepreneurs, employees and executives internationally. Additionally, Jessica serves on the Board of Unlock Tomorrow in Los Angeles.

Jessica received her BA in Communication from Stanford University and her MS in Social Entrepreneurship at USC Marshall School of Business

Creighton Taylor Headshot

Creighton Taylor has four years’ experience in investments and four years’ experience developing software applications across different functions, including business, design, and software engineering. He co-founded Guided Compass in 2018 to help students identify appropriate career pathways for them and to achieve their career goals. He has a BBA in Business and a BA in Music from Emory University, an MBA from Harvard University, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.

Amanda Jane Thomas Headshot
Amanda-Jane Thomas is an associate at Zuber Lawler & Del Duca LLP, where she represents a variety of clients across the hospitality, and emerging industries in general commercial litigation and business matters.  As part of her practice, Amanda-Jane develops case strategy and counsels clients on how to navigate industry-specific regulatory, statutory, and other frameworks.

Prior to joining Zuber Lawler, Amanda-Jane worked at Loeb & Loeb LLP, where her practice included representation of entertainment and merchandising companies in intellectual property, media and entertainment, and general commercial litigation matters.  She also previously practiced at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP representing investment banks, biotechnology companies, and biotherapeutics companies in various complex securities, mergers, and antitrust matters.

Prior to her legal career, Amanda-Jane worked as an analyst at MTV Networks where she designed and spearheaded research studies and initiatives to support the development, advertising sales, and marketing divisions, and worked with clients to best realize untapped sources of potential viewership and revenue.

Amanda-Jane is co-founder of Sip & Sonder and the LA Black Investors Club (LABIC).  Sip & Sonder is an entrepreneurial and creative hub and coffee house located in Downtown Inglewood.  LABIC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inform, exchange, and foster the development of entrepreneurial ventures by serving as a conduit to venture creation, capitalization, and capacity building for diverse communities.

Amanda-Jane holds a degree in Sociology from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.  Amanda-Jane originally hails from Brooklyn, NY and is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
