In the amount of time that you spend watching your favorite television program every week, you could impact a student's life and change that student's future by becoming a mentor with the Fulfillment Fund.
For more than two decades, the Fulfillment Fund has matched students with caring, committed adult mentors who help support our students on their paths to high school graduation and a successful transition to college.
We are often asked: “How am I supposed to be a mentor? What do I do?” Our response is always the same: be yourself! Our mentor program allows mentors and students the freedom to decide when and where to meet, according to what works best for both schedules.
What Makes Us Unique?
- One-on-One Support: Each student-mentor team is assigned a case manager to professionally support their relationship and who will check in once a month to troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Access to College Counseling: As early as ninth grade, students, their parents and the mentor will meet with a college counselor to create a college plan, review graduation requirements and ensure students are college eligible by the time they enter the 12th grade.
- Workshops and College Visits: Every year, the Fulfillment Fund hosts numerous events to cultivate the college going culture among our students, including college visit trips throughout California.
