Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles College Access Program Speaks Against DACA Removal

Los Angeles, CA September 5, 2017 -- “The Fulfillment Fund is profoundly disappointed in President Trump’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Through the next six months and beyond, our team continues to be committed to providing college access services to all of our students, including those who are undocumented.

I’ve been honored to hear stories from some of the young people who are helped by this program. As with so many of our own children, they strive for a brighter future where they can become leaders, help provide for their loved ones, and give back to the country they call home. All of us work hard to achieve our dreams. DREAMers are no different – and yet, the barriers they face are ones that most of us will never experience.

We are proud to stand with our students as they seek to fulfill their dreams. In the days and weeks to come, we urge our Congressional leaders to join us in supporting all young people and their families, regardless of their immigration status.”
