About STARS
Each year, the Fulfillment Fund's STARS gala honors a leader in the entertainment industry for extraordinary generosity and philanthropic involvement. Download our fact sheet.

STARS has been recognized as one of the top five most successful annual fundraising events in Southern California, raising over $2 million each fall to support programs offered through the Fulfillment Fund.

One of the most compelling aspects of STARS is the feature presentations by Fulfillment Fund students who speak candidly about the realities of growing up in Los Angeles today and how the Fulfillment Fund has impacted their lives.

Live Auction
Each year, a VIP auctioneer conducts a live auction of three to five one-of-a-kind, high-end auction items such as a ride in a MiG fighter jet, exclusive getaways to a private resort or a VIP ticket package to the major sports championship games.  The live auction alone raises over $300,000 and includes a bidding war for priceless Fulfillment Fund scholarships, allowing more students to realize their college dreams.

Leading celebrities and comedians have served as entertainers and presenters at STARS including Warren Beatty, Annette Bening, Wayne Brady, Cindy Crawford, Roger Daltrey, Kristen Davis, Calista Flockhart, Kate Hudson, Salma Hayek, Quincy Jones, Steve Martin, Dylan McDermott, Tim McGraw, John Mellencamp, Mike Myers, David Hyde Pierce, Sidney Poitier, Chris Rock, Sinbad, Will Smith, Jimmy Smits, Ben Stiller, Denzel Washington, and Stevie Wonder.

STARS 2007 raised over $2.7 million to benefit the Fulfillment Fund's programs.
The event honored Marc Shmuger, Chairman of Universal Picturest, and was hosted by actor Seth Rogen. Jamie Foxx entertained the audience with two songs and Vince Vaughn added his humor as award presenter. Auctioneers Tom Sherak and Sinbad drew Ian McGregor, President of the Fulfillment Fund Board of Governors as the winning ticket in the opportunity drawing for a 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle.
