MENTORINGRecognized by the Governor's California Mentor Initiative as among the best in the state, the Fulfillment Fund's mentoring services are supplemented by additional college access services. Our goal is to help young people reach their potential by graduating from high school and going on to college. Download our mentor application! What is mentoring? The Fulfillment Fund asks for a minimum one-year commitment with the hope of building a relationship that continues through graduation. The Fulfillment Fund provides in-depth training. The only experience necessary is a willingness to build a relationship with a student. It is a relationship that changes both the student and the mentor's lives. Who are Fulfillment Fund students? Interested in becoming a mentor? 2) Once we receive your application, we will schedule an interview and conduct a thorough background check. 3) You will then complete our comprehensive training. One segment can be completed online and one segment takes place in our office. 4) You will be matched with a student, and will meet them for the first time in their home with their parents and the Mentoring Support Advisor. If you would like more information, please call Darcine Thomas, Community Outreach Manager, at (323) 900-8753, or email her at dthomas@fulfillment.org. Do you know a friend, co-worker or family member who might like to become a mentor and join our Fulfillment Fund family and a network of caring and engaged Angelenos? Would you like the Fulfillment Fund to make an informational presentation at your company about mentoring opportunities? Contact Darcine Thomas at (323) 900-8753 or dthomas@fulfillment.org to discuss the possibilities.

“Recently, my mentee’s cousins were talking about going bowling and they started to tease Maria about not knowing how. ‘I know how to bowl,’ Maria proudly told them, ‘My mentor taught me.’” |
