Rachel joined the Fulfillment Fund in May 2017. As communications manager, Rachel works to raise awareness of the organization’s mission, support donor outreach and events, strengthen the Fulfillment Fund brand, and elevate its programs.
Throughout her career, Rachel has focused on supporting pathways for young people that empower healthy and successful futures. Most recently, Rachel worked as communications manager at Venice Family Clinic, a local nonprofit offering health care 24,000 low-income Angelenos, and in the same role at The Trevor Project, a national suicide prevention nonprofit serving LGBTQ youth. In years prior, Rachel worked on communications and policy at PFLAG National, a chapter-based nonprofit that supports parents and friends of LGBTQ individuals, and as a nonprofit communications consultant and summer school teacher's assistant.
As a young student, Rachel’s desire to improve access and opportunity for under-resourced communities led her to pursue sociology and expand her knowledge of the intersectional issues facing youth today. Her passion for the power of education nearly led her to become a teacher; ultimately, she chose to explore a career in communications. In this capacity, Rachel is honored to have the chance to help people thrive, no matter the hurdles they face.
Rachel is an Oregon native and California Lutheran University graduate, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Theatre Arts.
