Empowering Youth Through Education

Be a Volunteer

By supporting the Fulfillment Fund as a volunteer, you become part of a movement of people who are committed to investing in our community and in future generations.

We have volunteer opportunities that fit many different schedules and interest areas. Please check back often as new opportunities become available!

Fulfillment Fund University

July 9, 2016 @ Marymount California University
Join us at our 4th Annual Fulfillment Fund University, an interactive simulation of a “Day in the Life” of a college student. During this event, our recent high school graduates will learn how to use campus resources that will be critical to developing a positive collegiate experience. Volunteers will be assisting with event logistics as well as a bit of acting during our simulation! Click HERE for more information.

Destination College

October 15, 2016 @ UCLA
Now in its 20th year, this inspiring, information-packed event includes college preparatory workshops for high school students of all grade levels, inspirational speakers, a campus tour, and an extensive college fair. Volunteers are needed to assist with event logistics ranging from set up, registration, chaperoning, lunch, and assisting college representatives during the college fair. Click HERE for more information.

Career Day

March 2017
NOW Academy, in collaboration with the Fulfillment Fund, will host their 5th Annual Career Day to expose students to a selection of professions. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to serve as Guest Speakers in the classroom to speak about their own careers and their unique path to get there. Don't like to speak to groups? No problem! We are also looking for volunteers to help keep the day running smoothly.

Scholarship Selection Committee

March-April 2017
Last year, the Fulfillment Fund distributed $356,750 in scholarships to students. We are looking for volunteers to help us read, review, and evaluate scholarship applications. After all scores have been analyzed independently by volunteers we will convene for group assessments. The total time commitment for this volunteer opportunity is usually around 8-10 hours.

Student Networking Mixer

April 2017
Have you found networking to be helpful in your career? Help high school seniors learn the art of networking! Come mingle and share your professional experience with our students as they practice this critical skill before they embark on their college journey.

Mentor a Student

Ongoing
For more than two decades, the Fulfillment Fund has matched students with caring, committed adult mentors who help support our students on their paths to high school graduation and a successful transition to college.  Mentors are thoughtfully paired with their student and receive support and guidance from Fulfillment Fund staff throughout the mentoring relationship.  Visit our mentor page for more information.

Organize a Donation Drive

Ongoing
With student events and programs running year round, we are searching for in-kind donations of items needed to support these programs.  Examples include gifts for student raffles (restaurant gift cards, electronics, tickets to sporting events or shows), food & beverage (water, breakfast items, healthy snacks), and school supplies (pens, paper, books).  If you have something you're interested in donating, please see our Wish List for more information.
